Back Bay Lacrosse

Back Bay Lacrosse Club is a non-profit organization that provides instructional and team lacrosse activities to children in the Portland community.

All students that live in the city of Portland and those who attend a private school in Portland are eligible to participate on our 2-8 grade teams. We also host Learn-2-Lax through the Portland Recreation Department that is open to all kids.

Grab your tickets for the 2025 NCAA Championships at Gillette Stadium—featuring the Women’s Division I and Men’s Division II & III finals! We’ve secured discounted group tickets for all three games and will be coordinating transportation to ensure a smooth and comfortable trip for everyone.

Attending the NCAA Lacrosse Championships can be an unforgettable and inspiring experience for young players. It offers much more than just exciting games—it’s a chance for kids to deepen their love for the sport, learn from the best, and build lasting memories.

In addition to the excitement of watching championship games, attendees can explore a wide range of vendors outside the stadium, featuring the latest lacrosse gear, apparel, and accessories.

We have reserved a coach bus to take us down to Gillette and save everyone from driving. Let us know how many seats you need on the bus.

Spring Schedule Info

Youth Practice Schedule- First Practices are the week of April 6th 

Girls Grades 3-4: Practice Monday & Wednesday from 5:30 pm to 7 pm at the Payson Park. 

Girls Grades 5 & 6: Practice Monday & Wednesday from 5:30 pm to 7 pm at Payson Park. 

Boys Grades 3-4: Practice Tuesday & Thursday from 5:30 pm to 7 pm at the Payson Park. 

Boys Grades 5 & 6: Practice Tuesday & Thursday from 5:30 pm to 7 pm at Payson Park. 

Grades 2-4 Games: Home games are usually played at Kennedy Park (Fox Field) on Fox street across from Rising Tide on Sunday mornings and early afternoons. Away games could be Saturday mornings or early afternoons.

 

Middle School- First practice is Monday March 31st

Girls Grade 7 & 8: Practices Monday through Thursday at Douglas Field from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Home games are usually at 4 pm at Fox Field. Away games are mostly during the week and start between 4 pm and 5 pm. 

Boys Grade 7 & 8: Practices Monday through Friday at Fox Field from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Home games are usually at 4 pm during the week at Fox Field and vary on starting time on the weekends at Fox Field. Away games can vary for starting times and with games during the week and on weekends.
