Back Bay Lacrosse

Back Bay Youth Lacrosse is a non-profit organization that provides instructional and team lacrosse activities to children in the Portland community.

All students that live in the city of Portland and those who attend a private school in Portland are eligible to participate on our 2-8 grade teams. We also host Learn-2-Lax through the Portland Recreation Department that is open to all kids.

USA Lacrosse Pick Up & Play Host

Back Bay Lacrosse is excited to host our third Pick Up & Play event with USA Lacrosse for their National Celebrate Lacrosse Week.

In 2022, Back Bay Lacrosse won a USA Lacrosse grant to receive 60 lacrosse sticks and be a host site for Pick Up and Play series. In the two years we have hosted this event we have introduce lacrosse hundreds of kids in the Portland and surrounding communities

This years event will be held on November 9th from 8:00 am to 9:30 am at Maine Athletic Complex on Riverside Street in Portland. From 8 am to 8:45 will be a girls session followed by a boys session from 8:45 to 9:30 am. Both sessions will be limited to 50 players.
